Andy Goldsworthy (a school favorite) inspired the 2nd graders to spend an afternoon along the river building these amazing sculptures. Thanks to Mr. Paytas and his high school science students for their support!

P i n w h e e l s for Peace
In celebration of "World Peace Day" (Monday September, 20) we (along with folks all across the world) created peace pinwheels. Before designing and constructing them, each class talked about and brainstormed ideas, thoughts, and words they connected with peace. Some students incorporated these thoughts and words in their artwork, others even created poems about peace. When these beautiful creations were installed out in the meadow behind the school we could all really image "Whirled" Peace! Check out our gallery below.
